Join a Norwood Committee

Norwood is looking for new and enthusiastic committee members to help organise a portfolio of exciting events. Our committees develop ideas, sell tickets and promote the events. Previous events include supper quizzes, comedy nights, preview film screenings and an annual ladies lunch. If you want to meet new people and make a real difference to other people’s lives, then join one of our committees.

Joseph Malovany & The Western Choir (Nov 2009)
Cantor Joseph Malovany raised the roof of the Western Marble Arch Synagogue as he helped raise an incredible £19,000 for Norwood during a one-off concert on Saturday.

Ladies Lunch 2009 (February 2009)
100 ladies discovered the power of perfume through Roja Dove, the world’s sole ‘Professeur de Parfums’ at a Ladies Lunch which raised £13,000 for Norwood on Wednesday 25 February.

Backgammon Series 3 (2008)
Norwood’s Backgammon Series 3, which culminated in the Grand Final at luxurious restaurant Sketch in Central London on Monday 26 January, raised a total over £50,000 for the charity.

The Apprentice (9 July 2008)
Lee McQueen, the winner of Series Four of the hit BBC show, The Apprentice, was reunited with five of his fellow contestants – Claire Young, Alex Wotherspoon, Helene Speight, Lucinda Ledgerwood and Raef Bjayou – on Wednesday 9 July at a sell-out fundraising evening in aid of Norwood, a leading UK charity that supports children, adults and families living with learning disabilities or coping with social difficulties.

Just A Minute (12 March 2008)
Legendary radio and TV favourite Nicholas Parsons hosted a very special political edition of the gameshow Just A Minute in aid of Norwood on Wednesday 12 March at the offices of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) in Central London.
